I frankly don't care which car is faster when it comes down to it. I'd have more respect for someone cramming an lsx based powerplant into something, not to mention boosting it. That car strikes fear into the heart of most domestics.

How much power?
Different strokes for diff folks, I thought this was ghey till I saw an LS in a Z here locally, that $Hit gave me a chub. EDIT-didnt read the thread, the car I speak of is Havoks above!
I wont lie Ive contemplated doing this and taking the VQ to the range to shoot slugs thru it.
11.3 @ 129 with a 75 shot not bad at all. Id personally go for ultimate "beat it all day" NA reliability and run 10's than deal with traction issues all day and spin to 11's with higher trap.

I know he made 733/677 on 12psi and above that spins on the dyno. Its on youtube. And I know for a fact he daily drives it because I see it everywhere all the time...even in the rain like today.

If you need me to up a number to it then I'd say you should expect to spend more the 20+k. If your going the work yourself you can expect to shell out only a little less than that. NO SHOP WILL QUOTE YOU AN ESTAMATED COST UNTIL THE WORK IS DONE and if they do THEY LIE!
I personally handed my Z over to JE Performance with a blow motor and told then to spare no expense. For what it cost I could have just bought another Z. For the money I've invested (BLOWN) on my Z since I purchased it new in 2005 I could have bought a new Viper or 911 with money left over.
If you can see yourself getting rid of the Z in the nest few years then you shouldn't even think about doing this swap.
This swap isn't just about swapping in a LS and trans and calling it done, it's rebuilding the car from the ground up to handle it. Brakes, suspension, fuel system, electrical system, and custom fabbed everything else. No more off the self replacement parts in some cases. I'm sure if snyper was still here he would back me up on this. Quamen is the second only person I know of on this forum who doing all the work himself but he's the exception because he's used to building race cars. Custom fabbing and welding is nothing much to him but I still bet he'd say the same.
Truth: I never would have considered this swap if I didn't love the Z so much (this is my second one I also used to own a 93 300zxTT) and my VQ haddn't blown up.

LoL at this douchebag^^^. I know the owner and he was actually banned for bad mouthing intense because he said their turbo kit sucked. And then someone bought a fender roller off of him and something happend and he actually tried giving the money back but the guy insisted on getting the roller and then had a moderator give him an ultimatum and the kid told the mod to **** off then got banned. There is two sides to every story and honestly I don't think the kid really tried to screw someone out of a fender roller. From what I see in his build I couldn't see him needing to screw someone out of a 100$.
I send him money for a fender roller in March, I get nothing. Eventually, he tells me he's lost a part to it and that he's trying to get the part replaced. Another two weeks later, he offers a refund, but says he can still get me the fender roller if I just wait. So I choose to wait. Paypal's 30 day window comes and goes. I ask the seller for a refund, he says his account is locked. This goes back and forth for 5 MONTHS, at which point, the mods catch wind of what's going on when I post in his build thread that he still owes me money. I still give him a month to either refund my money or send me the parts he has (and I'll f*ckin fix the roller myself) and he does neither and gets banned in July. I don't think he set out to screw me out of $185, but in the end, that's what happened.
Feel free to send me $185 on his behalf if you think he's such a good guy. I'm sure he'll repay you... LOL

I spoke with him today and he has had no problem paying you back as you stated.
He said you left out the part where he initially asked to give you a refund for the lost part but you said no you wanted the roller. Im not taking sides nor getting involved in an argument between the two of you. Hes banned on here and can't talk to you to fix the situation so try messaging him on g35driver.Like I said though, I cant see him needing to screw you out of a 185$ part. In my opinion you are both wrong. You two should work this out without making him look bad saying he scammed you and he should of found a way to pay you back quicker.
