Default 3.3 final gears vs 3.5 final gears

At what level of whp would you see an advantage? Please give opinions, tire size and whp level with your responses.
I am considering a swap to a diff with 3.3 gears to gain back some of the lower gear traction. I do not want to decrease the handling ability of the car to gain low end traction by running super wide drag tires on the rear. I am looking for some input on the effects of running taller gears. Good and bad.

At any level where lower gear traction is an issue. It's not really a horsepower thing at all

It just reduces wheel torque by 6%. It increases top speed. It will increase the time spent in each gear. I don't think using it to enhance traction is significant because, well, it only alters wtq by 6%. Just modulate the accelerator for that.
