Default Possible misfire?

Recently i've noticed that my car has what I believe to be a misfire. At idle I notice what sounds to be like a clunking sound or a low pop, and a family friend who's a very good mechanic took one listen and said probably just a little misfire, which is probably just cause from a bad spark plug, etc. Do you guys have any other ideas before I start pulling things off and out?

Car is 100% stock btw

an actual missfire would cause a CEL.. P0301 cylinder 1, p0302 cylinder 2, p0304 cylinder 4, etc

Change the spark plugs.. Its probably time anyways, It takes about an hour of time

Yea that's why I wasn't 100% sure, cause I did a search and they all threw CEL's.

Recommendations for new plugs? I know that some cars don't like certain compounds (iridium, copper etc)

coppers have the best eletrical properties and are the cheapest.. the down side is that they don't last as long as others..

iridiums are second best conductors, and last the longest, and are more expensive..

I like buying coppers and changing them often, but thats just me.

NGK's are my brand of choice, and they come pre-gapped

Yup. PLFR5A-11 is the stock plug and works great until you start adding boost or spray. $66 a set from the dealer

Check for spark and fuel, go from there.

Check the spark plug connector and make sure there is no corrosion, dirt, oil, or maybe even a pushed pin. If all that is good, try swapping out coils with another cylinder and see if the problem follows the coil or stays with the same cylinder.
