Default Aftermarket Clutch Problems

I purchased a 2007 350z base from a Nissan Dealer about a year ago. The car came with a Nissan Certified Used certificate. It also came with a aftermarket clutch. I had the Slave cylinder replaced via the service recall. Then it proceeded to fail 4 more times in the year I have had. Each time the dealership replaced it under warranty. Now it has failed for a fifth consecutive time. All of a sudden they are saying its not covered by warranty and I need to put in a new stock clutch. They suggested I pay 1800 dollars for this service. After a call to the sales person and a subsequent one to the owner they agreed to put in a new clutch at half of bare-bones cost = $400. Then I received a call saying I needed a new fly wheel as well which they said they would also split at cost = $350.

Just wanted to get ppls opinion as to if this is a good deal. All in all I think it is, but the there was nothing wrong with the old clutch except for the fact that it kept blowing through Slave Cylinders. Were there any aftermarket cyclinders that could with stand the stress of the aftermarket clutch?

Im am not certain about the relationship between the clutch and slave unit. If Nissan replaced the slave unit several times, you would think they would look elsewhere for the problem.

The probability that the clutch is causing the slave unit to malfunction is 1 in 100.

Would you happen to know what brand/manufacturer the clutch is? If not, chances are it was made for the DE Z's, not the HR's. I can only think of one company which makes true HR clutches and that's Exedy. Cuztompartz is making a better slave for us HR owners and has a special setup to work with his clutches (and other DE clutches) for HR's. So ^ what kramykram said, go check out cuztompartz. and search in the VQ35HR section. I think you'll find all your answers there.
