If you have a blue Z get a blue kit. It will be color co-ordinated and look cool.

Things that do absolutely nothing don't look cool.

For instance:

Why do you want to waste money on a grounding kit?... If you are really set on a "grounding kit", just make one on your own... Buy some 4 guage wire, some ring terminals, a couple of bolts and washers, and there you have your grounding kit...

A grounding kit consists of several heavy gauge wires used to assist in electical conduction between engine components and the car's computers. Whether it's a five wire or seven wire this mod should be a consideration. Better grounding has been shown to improve horsepower, torque, fuel mileage, and throttle response. The degree of improvements will vary between cars. The improved grounding can also smooth a rough idle caused by electro-magnetic interference (EMI) as well as reduce light dimming when operating a high powered stereo system. Whether this actually adds any HP is an argument that will go on for hours. We do know that it will do 2 things:
a) It looks good in the engine bay when you open the hood
b) You will learn your way around the engine compartment during installation
Install Time: 30mins
Price Range: $45-200

I know right, this "mod" can't hurt anything but I doubt you will see any difference.

On a car that is rusted out and the original grounds are corroded, you could see a gain from a kit. On a newer model car, there should be no additional grounding needed and therefore no gains seen. If you really feel like you need some additional grounds, just do what sdZ33 said and get the wire yourself, ground the two main sensor grounds on the timing covers to the strut bar bolts and your good.

Big grounding kits that have like 7 grounds all over the engine are really a waste of money and tend to make the engine bay look too busy.

Default grounds

I will say that it does do stuff, but not much my man.

Buy the cheapest you can find as long as it uses ofc wire.
heres why i say theyre ok to have..

I have big amps.. i use big wire, i have a huge cap bank.. i have a stock alternator and would not like to replace it anytime soon.

So minimizing voltage drop ANYWHERE benefits my little eloectrical alternator heart.

And youre more than likely a noob.. so yes, its not a waste if you figure a 35 dollar kit if less than my usual dinner and a tall stella.. and you will learn where stuff is in your engine bay as the other guys said.

Horesepower? no way in hell.
Better voltage in the engine bay? mmm. probably, but not necc.
Faster starts? Yep.. I did notice that my starte thanked me. Maybe it will last an extra year. WHo knows.

They arent super easy to install either.. buy one. ebay. 20 bucks. ha. Mine turned root beer brown after 5 years in an inferno engine bay. I love it.

I made them keep it on when i did my Kinteix plenum too.. haha, take that!

All the alternator cares about is current draw. The more draw, the harder it works.

Small wires, poor connections, and anything else that cause voltage drop will reduce current draw and reduce the load on the alternator.

Your starter may spin the engine faster with a bigger wire, but to do that it has to draw more current and work harder. I'd say it's a toss-up between a possibly shorter on-time and working harder while it is on. I doubt it'll increase the life of the starter. Starters usually die from brush/armature wear or damage to the magnets/coils caused by overheating.

If I were you, I'd get something else unless you want to dress your engine bay. If you really want a grounding kit, then put one yourself together. Cheaper and the same result as those expensive ones LOL

PayPal me fifty bucks. I'll send you an email every day telling you how much better your car looks and runs. That'll probably work just as well for you.
