Default got my z dyno'ed and I'm very happy with the results

I went to Overspeed in Houston for their dyno day.
my mods are:
-jwt pop charger
-nismo short shifter
-resonated test pipes
-custom made dual exhaust
-custom made x pipe
-bassani straight through race mufflers
-jwt clutch
-jwt light weight flywheel
-injen hydrosheild

here are my results:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgokasSMQ3U

my final run made 275.5rwhp and 270rwtq i was honestly expecting to be around 250rwhp. they said the dyno reads just like a dyno jet.

^ not to mention it sounds like they were doing pulls in 2nd or 3rd. Any reason why?

I edited the videos and cut off the front of them to make them shorter. They said they did them in 5th gear for 6 speeds. I asked one of the guys that worked there and he said it doesn't read as low as mustang dynos and that it reads the same as dyno jets, he even asked another guy to verify that it was true and he too said it was. There are several other videos of 350z's putting down close numbers with close to the same mods.

I don't mean to be downer again, but those numbers are inflated. 275 with no tune..........incredible unlikely, but 270wtq..................even more unlikely.

Just goes to show more conclusively that it's inflated.......it's not uncommon at all with DD's.

It's fine for using as a baseline for additional mods, etc though.

The problem is i didnt get a base line, that the first time i ever dyno'ed the car. maybe another shop around here will have their dyno day and have a different kind of dyno and i can compare those numbers to these. i am also going to ask them what stock Z's put down on their dyno's next time i go to the place with the DD.

I think he's saying from now on if you add or remove anything you will be able to see gain or loss

Dynos are only good for direct comparison with other cars or before/after comparisons on your own car after mods. Other than that they don't tell you sh@t.

The OP's clip sounded like they shifted up fourth or fifth but the rollers didn't seem to have the resistance they probably should have.
