JWT Flywheel Issue
As the title states, I had a problem with my JWT Aluminum Flywheel. This will have been the second time the engine was pulled out and the flywheel's aluminum threads failed when mating up the clutch. I didn't see this coming but in hindsight it makes sense. The lightened flywheels generally have an aluminum construction and that also means aluminum threads (being a weak point with so little bolt to grab on to the aluminum threads). When mating the clutch to the fly I hand-started the bolts and began the two stage torque method. At the start of the second stage of the torque method, three of the bolts began to merely spin and no longer had forward progression. I got a request out to JWT to replace but I don’t know what they will say. Needless to say, it will be lightweight steel pieces from here if they decline the replacement.
Anyone else share this experience?

Fidanza's seem to have similar construction and materials, so I would imagine its would happen to those after a couple of torques as well.
Oh well, they got back to me and said put a heli coil in it, which I will probably do but its still tough to accept when you've followed their instructions and you get a failure.
