Z33Art V3.0-LS1/TH400 Swap
#24
One day maybe
I really want to go high compression and E85 but I have plenty of room for a twin screw or roots on top of the motor..... Now that I can fit something bigger than the baby Stillen I would choose that over a turbo for simplicity of install.

Sweet swap man! Props for doing it all yourself.
What are you doing for engine management? I have heard rumors that the LS1 computer is very easily compatable, just like the engine itself. I had a buddy that was going to swap one into his 86 951, but he gave up.
I'm kinda thinkin I would like to do this swap into my Z31 if the VG30 kicks the bucket

Small update today. Finished my power steering pump/crank angle sensor bracket!
The top gold portion of the bracket is the stock Z bracket pounded flat
On the back side of this bracket will be the crank angle sensor that reads off the 60-2 tooth gear on the back side of the crank pulley.
Also note that the stock 350z coolant sensor is the exact same thread size as the GM coolant sensor. That nice little sensor with the blue plug is actually the factory Nissan sensor so my gauge still works.

Got 90% of the way done this weekend! Couldn't start it because I was missing two fuel system fittings that were sitting at the UPS center five miles from me that I was unable to pick up :-( . Should have them today and finish up some small wiring.
The throttle cable, transmission, motor, torque converter, shifter and driveshaft are in for good! I will post pictures later tonight.
