Default clutchmasters fx300/ clutchmasters flywheel question

hi recently got this setup installed in my z and everytime i start it, it makes a loud whine sound. i talked to a buddy of mine who ran this same setup and said this didnt happen with his. now it only does it on start up and its louder when the car is cold when its warm its quicker and not as loud. me and the mechanic think its the starter gear on the flywheel. best way to describe this noise is two gears that are to tight together and when they spin it makes a high pitch whine. so we never dropped the tranny to see if everything is ok, im just hoping this isnt serious. hes assuring me its not so i thought id just make a thread see if any owners with this setup experienced this. car is an 06 if it matters.
maybe tomorrow ill get a video of the noise. other then that the clutch is smooth and engages alot faster then oem shifting is smoother when taking the car full throttle.
any input would be great thanks

something not normal. i would pull the tranny and check. why take a chance on ruining a great and expensive flywheel and maybe more.

Pilot bushing is my guess. A pilot bushing that is worn or damaged from the reinstallation of a the transmission will often make a whining sound which will change as the bushing heats up from the increased friction.

Good luck!

Would this always make noise? Like even during idle. Cause the noise i hear is only during start up

It depends how it was damaged. Since it may expand due to increased friction and heat it could change in sound over the course of running the car.

i was told pilot bushing was changed prior to install. i was there while the job was being done under the car....just dont know to much. went back today hes convinced its the flywheel and the starter gear. since its only during startup and only lasts about 1 second. gonna call the manufacture today n see what they say
