Default 05~07 oil consumption?

I just got an email from InfinitiHelp saying that there now is a recall on 05~07 g35 coupe. ITB08-002d. So i'm guessing they are saying DE engines..I thought only some 06 DE engines have oil consumptions. i have a 05 350z. Should i be concerning on oil consumption?

DE owners should always be concerned about oil consumption regardless if it is a recognized problem by Nissan or not. Our 04' ZR, though not part of the "OC problem", would go through just about 1qt of synthetic oil every 1500 miles. I have talked to a local Z shop owner and he confirmed that he has seen the same thing on the pre rev-up motors, typically associated with synethic oil.

The recognized problem started with the 6MT rev-ups, which your 05' isn't unless it's an anniversary Z. The Gs got the rev-up engine in 05', hence why they are part of the bulletin.

ITB08-002d is a sevice bulletin not a recall. ITB08-002 has several updates. Believe that “d” is the latest. Applicable to the V35 and CV35 motors.

Regardless, as scotts300 mentioned, always keep an eye on oil level.

Your car isn't part of the bulletin - is your car under 60k miles and 5 years from the first day it was registered? If so, then you're still under warranty, which covers the engine.
