Arrow Steering wheel fluid flush.

I was looking at the DIY section and I couldīt find a how to flush the steering wheel fluid.

How often should it be done?

Nissan doesn't recommend a specific interval. Replace it "as needed" - if it starts to get cloudy, dirty or smell burnt then replace it. For good measure, you probably want to do it every 50K miles at least.

You can do it one of two ways...

Remove a hose from the bottom of the PS cooler (behind front bumper & grill on passenger side) and let the old fluid drain out. Refill, bleed, etc. While there is no thread on how to flush, this one on how to replace the cooler has enough details on how to get to the hoses, how to refill and bleed, etc. to help you out...

or...

Get a big syringe or small manual pump and drop a tube into the reservoir and suck as much fluid out as you can. Refill it then run the car for a few minutes turning the wheel back and forth to force the fluid to circulate. Then repeat the process one or two times.
