Default Water in my Gas>?

I've had my car out of commision for about a year and I finally went to start it today and its popping and such. The same gas has been in the car for about that amount time. Assuming the car has water in the tank, anyone have any suggestions on what steps to take ?

BTW, I did alot of searching and didn't find anything.

Thanks Troy

Doesn't the gas tank build up water condensation on cold days? I'm guessing since the car sat for that long without being started, it build up quite a bit of water in the tank. That's just my guess.

Did you put Stabil in the tank when you stored your car? If not, I suspect you may have varnish deposits built up in the injectors. You will probably need to have the injectors professionally cleaned.

Fill up the tank with some good gas. Add some octane booster (heet) if you need to. I think it'll be fine.

How much gas was in the tank when it was left sitting? If it was a full tank then there wouldnt be much room for condensation to form.

Thanks guys. I plan on adding some unleaded 100 to fill it up and the octane boster + heet. I had about 3/4 of a tank when I stored it so there may have been room for it fill up.
