Engine cover??
Hey guys, I was just wondering what does the engine cover do..... Can I remove it?? Ya.... I think it's a stupid question too but just want to make sure lol
It keeps you from futzing around with all the delicate stuff under it. Removing it is likely to result in some really big bills when you find you just cannot resist playing with stuff that's probably working just fine.
+1 for the HR two-piece cover. I think it can be removed without messing with the tower brace.
I'd like to see what it looks like under the cover, too. Anybody got a picture of an HR with the cover off? I haven't been able to find one.

david, i have to call shenanigans. obviously something called an "engine cover" wouldn't cover the engine. i heard this one guy on this one forum one time say it was there to funnel the oil to the valveburners, and if you take it off the valveburners will smoke too much causing the flactoid coil to overheat.
but that's just this one thing i saw on the internet one time....
