Default Need some help from VQ35DE Owners

I am having the hardest time trying to figure out where a certain connector plugs in on the vq35de motor. I have looked through the fsm and cant figure out what it is either. Any ideas guys? The previous owner for some reason had it extended and now I am confused. I figured out though that out of the 2 wires, one of them is at the white body control harness so they do not go to the ecu.

Some shots of the connector and the wires. The wire colors are Orange and then Yellow/Orange.
Thanks for the help

I was thinking it connected to the non-functioning hood alarm switch, but that's a different color.

I searched the entire FSM for a "Y/O" as one of them should be listed on a connector but got no hits.

Could it be for the reverse/brake light?

I doubt it - why would those be under the hood?

Thanks for the help guys. I found what it was and it is the back-up lamp switch. It is connector F36 on the engine harness with the wires Yellow/red and Orange. It was my mistake for think that the stripe on the wire was orange instead of red. I feel dumb now.

However I still have no clue why the wires were extended though.

This is the connector to the switch on the transmission that indicates the car is in reverse gear, not the back-up lights themselves.
