Default My clutch died in 45k miles

My car broke down on me two days ago. I didn't know what's the problem was so I called the insurance company and I told them to drop it off at this local shop that I always go to and they told me that I need to replace my clutch and flywheel. I never thought that my clutch would die this soon but I guess it did.

Here is my questions.

This local shop quoted me $570 something for an OEM clutch, and flywheel and $450 for labor. Is this reasonable price for replace an OEM clutch and flywheel? or should I pay more and get the JWT or ACT setup? or any other setup you guys recommand? I'm not trying to race or anything and this is for daily drive but I'm down to spend a little bit more money on this if I get better performance. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If you plan to drive spirited or aggressive, upgrade it. I also imagine that your pricing does not include the price of the flywheel. I think they're around $800 retail at Nissan.

Just get a JWT clutch kit (CL & Fly) , throw out bearing and nismo roller bearing..
Pivot ball is moot.....rare to actually need or one to break...

Ensure the shop knows to line up the fly wheel correctly - see here, as this mistake is made often:

Your quote may not be for genuine Nissan parts. It may be for OEM replacement parts which are not the same.

I recommend that you visit a performance shop with experience replacing 350Z clutch-flywheel. Some shops charge an additional 20 percent labor for bring-you-own parts.

There are plenty of brand recommendations here. Read and study.
