Default Will 08 tranny fit 04?

I found an 08 tranny for cheap, was wondering if it will fit my 04 with not problems?

no it will not as i am told. i have not pulled either of them out at the same time to check them side by side.

the HR trans (07 -08) use an internal slave (called CSC), the 03-06 use a more traditional, internal unit. The two are for all intents and purposes, not compatible with one another. Any trans from an 03-06 will work for you. If buying one used, try and find the latest revision (there is a code on the transmission)...preferably ending in 7, 8 or 9. If buying new, we have the last revision available for the car (CD009) which will have all the final updates Nissan did, which make it a much better, reliable transmission overall than the early versions
