What is the actual DTC code you are getting?

And no, there is no code for "hot air" getting to the engine so there is no need for a CAI. The stock air box takes its air from behind the bumper in front of the radiator. It works quite well, even when compared to a true CAI.

how is the car running in terms of the rpm band?

hesistation? lagging? normal?

usually its something small like a loose wire or a dirty maf, but those small things can lead into a bigger problem, i have a spare laying around

it runs perfect ?

I was thinking its the hook up sensor near the stock air tank filter because
the wire's are in bad shape but there is not enough wire to re-wire so
how do you guys think I can fix this? Thanks again

Get a scan tool or an OBDII monitor and you can read the intake air temperature from the MAF sensor.

You still haven't clarified our confusion over the check engine light. What code are you getting? Without that, there's no telling what problem you have.

Do you have an aftermarket intake on the car now?
