Dip stick question
Why is the damn dip stick so hard to use? And why did they put a funnel around where the dip stick goes? Wont dirt collect and fall into the oil when removing or inserting the dip stick? If so, does that oil with the dirt go threw the oil filter before it gets moved to any moving parts?
I figure its cause of all the cr*p surrounding this area in the engine compartment that makes accessing the dip stick so difficult. The designers had to construct a device to "guide" it back. I checked the oil now and then and find this to be quite awkward. And yeah, I bet the stick collects dirt on the way back into the oil pan. But all this oil in the pan is filtered before being pumped through the engine.
