Does anybody have experience with using Z1 mounts on the automatics?
Please share. Thanks!
I have had good experience in the past with beefier transmission mounts on automatics. Not sure how the VQ35 would react to that. Too rough? Or very responsive torque at the cost of light roughness?
This is for my G35 sedan btw.

Nawww, probably buying an aftermarket one.
It's not like metal bushing solid, but solid as in urethane as opposed to hollow rubber like the comparison here:

Look familiar
I checked, both auto and 6spd use the same mount

I believe this mount will improve the soggy and rough shifting condition of the G35 automatic. I read a lot of good things about how engine dampers improve shifting on G35 autos. If the 5AT can benefit from an engine damper, a solid transmission mount should also help shifting. I plan to do both, but feel that a transmission mount is more important right now because I am experiencing more transmission slack under hard accelerations than engine movements.
