Kp tech. 2 step

Has anyone installed this on their own? I've searched and haven't found any sufficient answers. It doesn't seem to difficult. Any input is appreciated

That's what I thought, but the warnings make me second guess myself.

Would a wiring diagram help any? I have a multi-meter as well.
