Default HELP!!!

I have a 2003 nearly stock manual, and the engine keeps stalling out. At first my initial thought was bad gas but its still happening. I noticed too that my oil pressure was down so I added a quart which fixed the problem, Going to do an oil change this weekend, but when I parked the car I tried reving the engine in neutral and no sputter on the way up but when it settles back down to idle it drops below the 500 RPM point and will act like she wants to cut out, any suggestions as to what this is. I heard someone say short ram air intakes could be to blame, the one i got on there now is a short ram injen that i could make into the full cold air intake if need be.

thanks and try to be patient with me im new to the car thing as this is my first sporty car, and trying to learn as fast as i can

thanks
Kurt

First, you have to put a real title. Part of the rules round these parts.

Low oil pressure is bad. Thats not a sporty car thing thats an every car thing.

My bad about the title. I know that the oil pressure being low is an every car thing, I just have never experienced this with my lancer or mustang. No leaks no smoke just oil disappearing. but I fix the pressure problem, and I am still finding that she wants to cut out. is it my MAF sensor you think, cause im not throwing any codes at all.

If you put more oil into it and it ran better, I'd say you ran the oil so low you permanently damaged something.

The oil didnt fix the problem it just raised the pressure, the light in the car never came on it was just lower than usual on the gauge, and there was still oil on the dip stick just lower than i wanted it to be. (Im pretty cautious of the fluid levels) It sounds as if the engine is being choked out almost. the troubling part is NO CODE. ive never experienced a car sputtering like this with no code. am i missing something.

Squeaking brakes

instead of

or

Check the short rams. Make sure a coupler didn't fall off. Check for dirt on the maf. How many miles on her? At least give some useful info.

No.........the '03 models don't normally burn oil. Having said that, depending on the number of miles, any car can burn oil.
