Ok I have an 08 NISMO and in any gear between 0-3,000 RPM at WOT my car will spit and sputter as if the VDC is kicking in or something. The thing is the slip lights never comes on and it doesn't throw any CEL. Above 3,000 rpm everything comes together and i finally launch down the highway.
I have the stillen gen 3 intakes and test pipes and im wondering if maybe it's throwing off the air/gas mixture at low RPM/WOT.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did you do to fix it?

my nismo does the same thing. I got it tuned and it still happens.
I have full straight pipes all the way out, and stillen g3's.
XO2 exhaust, Berk TP, G3 CAI, UPREV.

Yea I still have the stock intakes just trying to avoid the work involved with pulling the stillen gen 3's, pulling the bumper and everything. I'm glad to hear someone else has the same issue though, sucks to hear a tune didn't solve it. I thought for sure that's all I would need. I'll try going back to the stock intakes after Saturday and see what happens.
Nice catch hellsoldier, maybe next time you can chime in with some USEFUL input.....

Just go very easy on the gas or keep a higher rpm. You have a modded sports car, quit driving like a *****!

I think it's a fuel issue myself. My car had the same tank of gas in it for over a year, being started and idled about once a month. Int the past month it's had that tank run out and gone through 2 more. I'm going to fill it up again and try running that HEET stuff in it, maybe some water buildup?
why would you think it's the test pipes? Explain your reasoning please...

Funny, right after I read this thread I came across another thread where someone with an 08 Z mentioned a problem very similar to yours. Hopefully this narrows things down a bit.
Well with out a tune, when you get the CAI's and have something less restrictive than stock cats you really need a tune.....so do it sooner than later.
Personal experience: Had stillen Gen 3 intakes, then did Stillen HFC's, car ran like **** no matter how many times I did an ECU reset. So put stock cats back on and I'm waiting to get an AP....then I'll get art pipes.....once I have enough I'll install the art pipes then get a tune immediately. So I don't run into issues.

hmm i dont see how a tune didnt fix it. before i had a tune when i had stock intakes, with tp and catback. i would hesitate around 2200 to 3000 rpms. got a tune and it fix.
I honestly have to agree with the guy who said gummed up injectors. either way, i would get on a dyno and see what the afr are before doing anything. also the only thing the stock cats would do it fix the problem lol because when you have tp then add intakes your afr do get leaned out a little.

Well I cleared the code and it's running pretty good right now. I was going to go back to the stock cats so it would stop tripping the 02 sensor.
when it trips the 02 sensor you go into a kind of default afr which causes it to run shitty. I don't know how to explain the whole science behind the ecu doing that but thats what causes it to run shitty. My test pipes have a built in defouler so the quick fix most people do won't work with these.
I've got a computer so it's easy for me to just keep clearing the CEL if it pops again until I can figure out a better solution.
I've also run a tank of gas with HEET to get rid of any water which may have built up and im currently running a tank of Lucas injector cleaner. I also changed the oil..... lol
