Default How do I remove the power steering shaft?

I'm installing headers on my car right now but I need to remove the dang steering shaft. I've already removed the two bolts and made sure to mark the shaft to make sure when it goes back together it goes in the right place. Do I need to remove the steering column? Thanks for your help. If thats the case I can remove the steering wheel a install the Momo steering wheel I have.
