Default Short shifter?

So i have read and searched and searched again and still very confused. Is there any one that think that getting a short shifter for the Z is a good move and if so which one? I have had the B&M years ago and took it off after awhile because it was definitely not a smooth shifting. But i would like to maybe give a short shifter another try. Any comments?

Twm and nismo seem like the best I've seen. I've seen nothing but bad reviews on b&m. I'll be getting a twm when my time comes

got the twm for the 08 had to put a washer under the plate to get the shifter into reverse. I am amazed at the difference, feels the same shifting but the travel into gears compared to stock is big. A good amount of change but worth it.

Why did you have to put a washer to get it in reverse?

won't shift into reverse without rising the bracket that protects you from accident going into reverse

Default I just installed a solid trans mount and twm..

get the TWM **** extender as well.. our cars have notchy synchros in the first place, short shifters amplify that issue. The extra leverage helps eliminate this.
