Default Clutch/Flywheel issue?

Hey guys,I just bought the car back in February...has a JUN flywheel and performance clutch(he couldnt remember what clutch kit it was)...but I know the Zs are known for flywheel chatter when using aftermarket flywheels. We'll came out and started the car and it was ALOT louder...sounds like something inside rattling around vibrating...when you rev it up it gets louder and louder...then kinda goes away I believe around 4K rpm..

When you step on the clutch and rev it up...the sound goes away...the sound is only there during non clutch engagment.the clutch and flywheel still feels to grab quite well...I am leading toward throwout bearing but it seems to be operating okay..Im gonna try and post a video of the sound here this evening...Thanks for looking!input would be greatly appreciated.

also...if you pop the hood you would really think theres a broke lifter or something up top on the motor from the sound of it and vibration of it..but like posted above..press the clutch in...quiet as a church mouse....also possible the flywheel is about cooked?

no.
this is normal.

totally fine, its the lightweight flywheel. Makes the car sound like rocks in a blender.. its fine. Make sure the oil looks good and maybe pul your plugs and check them, but up top tick is normal for this car as well.

No I know how noisy these cars are...its not in the motor..its a issue with the throwout bearing id say...its alot different than your usual sound...This is my 3rd 350...with a aftermarket clutch/flywheel combo...I know how it usually goes...this sounds like 1 BIG rock in a blender

Huh?! How about you try to explain the sound a little better than the first time, then:

rattling around vibrating = 1 BIG rock in a blender
So, naturally everyone is going to tell you it's the non-OEM flywheel.

Some combos are more louder than others. My Z has a Comp Clutch STG 4 and JWT FW and its somewhat noisy, now my SVT Focus has a Fidanza FW and a STG 3 Clutchmasters and that my friend is noisy. As far as the throw out bearing, if the clutch is pressed and the noise goes away then the bearing should be fine. I had the noise issue even when the clutch was pressed in on the focus. Changed the throw out bearing and problem solved.. My .02

I know how the car and clutch soundes...I've owned a 03 with the JWT combo...a 07 with the same...and this car I picked up has a JUN Flywheel and unsure of the clutch kit...I have drove the car for a month and a half...the usual chatter....but it started a knocking sound now.

When you rev the car with the clutch DISENGAGED...it will make a bad rattle inside until around 26-2800rpms and goes away...when you pop the hood you can feel it vibrating and resonating the sound into the motor, you would think its in the valve train. We'll once your in the car and engage the the clutch the sound goes away and when gas is givin with the clutch the sound is gone.I will try and get a video sound clip tomorrow if the weather is Okay, but doesnt look promising

Hopefully this will clear anything up that was twisted,Im pretty sure its gonna be the throwout bearing giving me the issue.Hoping its not the full clutch assembly needing replaced if it is I may have to cut zdayz out of my budget
