nah, but that'd be awesome! 4.5L seems too big for a V6 though. a 4.0L sounds more practical.

Why in the world would you want to do that?

There will be NO aftermarket parts for that motor and with some good N/A mods the VQ35 will make just as much (or more) HP.

It isn't like I can't port the heads myself, have some cams ground, have some pistons made, have some rods made (the last two probably cheaper than pauters), do a little work here and there, and supercharge it. Or NOS. I can make it run. I am not worried about that. I am more concerned with it fitting under the hood. And MOST importantly, I won't have to listen to a damn V6 every time I mash the throttle.

can't beat the aftermarket of the VQ35 with a Jap V8....plus the V8 weighs more.

Or a 240Z with a V8. I think I may hold off on the 350Z motor and buy this 280ZX-R that is in town. I have an itch...

I don't believe aftermarket parts can make the VQ35 have more torque than the VK45. Except F/I.

I don't remember saying anything about more torque.

If you want torque...get a turbo diesel..

torque is everything..............why does the e55 beat the rs6 by a half second in the qrt?.............hmmm..............maybe because it is the +19 horsepower it has................no could'nt be.............ahhh yes it must be the +100 lbs of torque it has over the audi.............torque is just as important as hp.

there was a Z here in cali that dyno'ed over 300 hp to the rear wheels at a nissan show at the mossy nissan dealership in san diego. I don't know if he's on these forums though

another Z owner with the stillen SC was quite thrilled to see that... hee

Wasn't it Dwnshift who said:

HP sells cars, Torque wins races? Something like that.

Torque is everything huh?? You don't know what you're talking about.

AVERAGE torque, gearing and weight is everything. Peak torque is basically usless if you don't maintain it throughout the powerband. The E55 is quicker than the RS6 because for one the E55 is UNDERRATED and has around 515hp not 469.....it's also quicker because it has higher AVERAGE torque throughout the powerband.

If peak torque is everthing like you say then why do 700hp NASCAR stock cars on ly have around 300ft-lbs of max torque...yet are VERY FAST?
