Default 5th-6th gear ring baulk

hello, i need help, i've been searching for this part and can't find a place with them in stock. Any help would be appreciated.

Nissan 350z 03 MT Ring baulk or baulk ring.

Thanks, ASAP. I've a month waiting for this part and it sucks to be a pedestrian.

i kind of doubt any US dealer has them in stock. also, you are going to need to know the revision because the 5th gear one at least has changed over time and new part numbers have superceded old part numbers, but if you have an older trans revision, you will need the older one or your will have to change 5th gear itself as well (ramp angle is different). not sure if there have been any revisions to the 6th gear synchro.

when I ordered a new 5th gear and the synchro for it, I believe both had to come from japan. I think there were none in the US at the time (I ordered a bunch of 350Z trans parts at the same time, and most of them had to come from overseas because virtually no one rebuilds these transmissions, I was literally probably one of the first few people in the country to rebuild one, this was like 4 years ago though it's possible things have changed a little).

anyhow, the best dealership to order from would be Dave Burnett @ South Point Nissan in Austin Texas (don't just ask for dave because there is more than one Dave there in Parts, there's Dave Barron and Dave Burnett, Dave Burnett is the one you want).

I actually do have one of these sitting around (just 5th, not 6th), but whether or not it's for the revision you need is another issue (it's a CD008 5th gear synchro) and I'm 2500 miles away from it for the next 6 months, so I guess that doesn't really help you.

thanks for your help man, i had the part ordered from japan. I have to wait like a month and pay 6 times the actual value.

I'll be fixing the car and selling it ASAP, i'm tired of all the small problems and having to wait 1-2 months for each fix

i'm screwed really bad with this car. I need another baulk ring for 6th gear and 3rd gear. Now i have to get them shipped from japan with 6 times the actual value of the parts, and another month being a pedestrian.

I think nissan sucks with this synchro issues, they need to get more popular and put a set on ebay or so...
