Well you get what you pay for I guess.

 

Machinist quoted me $250-$300, local performance shop quoted me $500. This is for a final drive and lsd install with me supplying all of the parts and dropping off the pumpkin already removed from the vehicle.

 

Just don't pay $1100 like I did and still have an improperly shimmed gear even after a 2nd return to make it right.
Stay away from local "tuners" without firsthand knowledge of how to shim a Nissan diff or at the very least, the proper backlash specs on hand.
