Does anyone else have a troublesome gear in their cars? For me it's second gear, it just feels a lot harder to get a smooth shift out of it. Maybe I just need to get used to the car more? About 2 weeks ago I had it inspected while getting an oil change and the whole car is in perfect condition.

 

Look at my thread. I've had one issue with it so far. Somedays it goes in easy, some days when downshifting/upshifting, it's kind of hard.

 

"Finicky transmission" is a regular subject for 8 years. Lots of threads here addressing the transmission.

my 2nd gear seems to be the hardest to shift into out of all my gears too. Who knows.

 

Get a weighted shift ****.

 

good call, a taller one would work well too.

 

All i get is the stupid "clicking" noise, but i think thats pretty much normal among all HR's Seems like mine is a bit louder than others i have heard...but it might just be me...

 

Oh yea and I mean clicking from 1-2 shift...

 

my 2006 Z is hard to shift into second gear as well... though.. once it worm up ; it seems to get smoother.
however; i noticed that before shifting into second gear (if cold) it will be easier if i left the shifter in natural then shift it into the second gear?!
