Default fabrication thread

i searched and didnt see one. so i figure we need a fabrication thread.

i want to see custom parts you made. no massed produced or put out by some company.

need what it is.
what it does.
what you used to make it.

if this is a bad idea just close this thread. lol

Look at my picture albums... I've fabricated more parts for my Z than most shops have. One supercharger kit, two turbo kit, a LS1 swap kit, motor mounts, solid diff bushings, firewall, trans mounts, intakes and a number of other odds and ends.

Maybe buying a house very soon. If so I need to get a set of OEM HR headers and a set of cheapo test pipes or oem cats cheap.

Getting a new house = getting the mig, tig, and plasma cutters out of storage. I've got a hankering for chopping off the collector of the OEM headers and bring the individual pipes down to the Y pipe connection.

AKA cheap long tube HR header.

Good stuff, gotta love the push-on tubing fittings. I use them at work all the time making sight glasses like you did.

Hey, what's the advantage of those little batteries? I've seen them in a couple of cars before, but never really got it.
Sorry for thee off-topic!

Weight savings typically.

Yep, in a mild climate, aka south Florida, the need for a big CCA battery doesnt really exist.

I've been running the battery since June 2011 and had zero issues. Only threw the odyssey high current charger on it once just to try it.

^Ah. I'll file this under "not a viable option" in my particular climate, then. I suppose that is a pretty reasonable weight savings compared to a lot of the other dumb stuff people do, though.
