Default Permanently Turn Off Traction Control?

I have an 04.5 Enthusiast I just bought and when I turn off the traction control and then turn off the car and re-start the traction control is back on.. Has anyone figured out a permanent way to turn it on and off? I still want it for the rain, but I dont want the crap turning on every time I park my car for errands...

Any reason you want it permanently off? Do you like to leave strips from your $1,000 set of Bridgestones at every intersection? I leave the VDC on in my Z all the time, even when doing some spirited driving on occasion, and it's never hurt a thing...

If TCS is kicking in when you're parking your car, you're doing it all wrong.

Dude, it's a BUTTON. It's not like you need two people simultaneously turning launch keys and entering a 15 digit, alphanumeric code. You're still driving a vehicle that requires you to turn a key to start it! Oh, the humanity!!
Park in front of the Rub&Tug and (if it's NOT raining) when you get back, push the ******* button.
*Whoa! I think this coffee is DeCaf...

Just sell your car and get a base model, that way you don't even have the option to turn it on ahaha

There is a module you can buy that turns it off every time you start the car. Then when you need it on, you just hit the button to turn it back on.

I don't mind pressing the button, I just hate the light. I pulled the cluster apart but got too scared to pull the led.

This is exactly what I want. I still want it for when it rains, but to answer other posters YES it is too hard to hit a button every time I start my goddamn car up.

Your spirited driving must be pretty gay if its not kicking in.

Every time I take a corner fast and accelerate the POS traction system almost stalls the car - and this is dangerous if you need to accelerate in traffic. I am not a 17 yo dumbass - I don't need it on dry pavement.

Btw, I have a receipt from the previous owner for the tires and the Bridgestones were like 150 a piece - so yes burning up a 300 dollar set on the back isn't exactly going to break my budget..

To clarify I just meant that when I park the car turn it off and then on - then the system comes back on; so far it has only "kicked in" when cornering fast - which would otherwise be a minimal spin/drift - nothing unsafe, but the system feels the need to practically stall the car.

What will you do if it rains for a few days in a row? Back to button pushing? Maybe wire a rain sensor into the circuit to turn it back on automatically?

My, my, my... Someone's cranky. I'm guessing you're all the way up to 18, so I can see why you're mad. Once you polish up a pair of rears (that your fat stacks of cash can easily afford) perhaps Post #1 from here:

will be in your future.
