Differential swap question
I have a line on a 07 G37 6mt or an 5at differential with 3.692 ratio. Both are locking units from the 4 door model. I searched and found some info that they should swap right out. Is this correct and if so is there any other parts I need to change? is one better for my direct swap? I have the 5AT with vlsd in an 04 roadster.
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for any help.
The pinion flange is different and will need to be swapped out from your current diff. Have a driveline shop do the swap and bring them a crush sleeve just in case. Oh ya , the pinion nut is single use and needs to be swapped out at the same time.
Under $20 for the sleeve, nut and seal. replace the seal since it is apart.

So just the flange needs to be changed, and not the pinion? That should be easy to do if it is just the flange, Probably do it myself.
Thanks for the info!! Much appreciated.

If you change the pinion you will need to change ring gears. Also the flange has to be set up properly. Its not an unbolt , swap and retorque thing.
