Default New Clutch Damaged, will it effect it?

I ordered a exedy clutch, JWT flywheel, SS braided clutch line, and Nismo roller bearing pilot bushing, and noticed when i removed the clutch from the box that there is two pieces chipped off of the non flywheel side of the clutch, i was planning on taking my car to get this all installed today, then i came across this. will it effect the clutch/ flywheel? i emailed the company but i was wondering anyone on here could share their insight?

Yes. Demand a replacement.

Before issuing a demand, I would probably ask nicely.

Got an email back from the vendor::"

"Actually that is somewhat normal and not an issue. Since they have the threads in them sometimes the very outer edge will flake off a little. The disc grabs in the center so it is not an issue."

I am going to take it to my transmission shop to see what he has to say about it.

I would just do this. Also, next time this needs to be in the tech section! Good luck!

It only grabs in the center until the center wears some. Then it grabs all over, except for the part that's chipped off.

The chips represent much less than 1% of the total contact surface, so don't worry about it.

ya, chances are it won't cause a problem but if it's new i would still want a replacement. If you paid for new you should get new.

Looks like a normal clutch disk to me. Its not like it is a precision machined part.
