I can only base the DS loop on my 12 sec FBOD's.
They both had DS Safety Loops.

It's a good and cheap mod and protects your drive line.

They go for about 100 bucks and some even are bolt ons so why not have one? I guess it's a 1/4 mile thing and track specific, some tracks don't tech at all and this can come back to haunt you when a car goes into the wall and everyone moans like ughhh while instead of staging to run you wait an hour for clean up.

The initial answer is that they are not required since we sit in front of the diff.

They may be recommended, and if enough people start draggin the Z, then it is more likely for someone to make one. Therefore my second answer is that there is not enough of a market for one at this time (for the Z).

Finally, since the Z's driveshaft is plastic/CF, it is designed to shatter in a crash, which might eliminate the need for the safety loop since there would be nothing left to constrain.

Anyway, I don't know enough to say for sure why there isn't one available, or even if they are useful in the Z, but those could be some potential reasons.

Maybe that bluefish dude would have an idea if anything has been made for the Z.

What causes the clutch not to disengage completely, even with padel full up position, on a 6MT?

A DS lop is scertainly required at some oint on all cars, be they FWD or RWD.

It's actually quite easy to do, and if the inerest is there, we can easily have them done for you guys who drag..I cna just build off my own car.

I'm interested in a direct bolt on that doesn't rattle.
I know you are supposed to drop the shaft and go through it but let me see what you come up with our track checks for them and gets stricter on Tech In every year.

Here are some differences that I've noted.

Driveshaft is different: G35 has a 2 piece shaft since it's longer while the 350 has a 1 piece.

Diff assemblies are the same, keeping in mind that by that I mean the LSD equipped 350 diff is the same as the LSD equipped G35 with one exception confirmed: the G35 5ATs have a different ring & Pinion gear. This may be true on the 5AT coupe as well, but I haven't received confirmation from anyone on this. I also don't know if this holds true for 5AT 350's or not, but if anyone knows, please confirm.

I believe the MT gears are 3.54:1 and the AT gears are 3.36:1

my contribution:

jwt flywheel/clutch are compatible with your stock throwout bearing and pilot bearings. these run 40 for the throwout and 8 for the pilot so you might as well replace them while your doing a flywheel job.

*edit* the jwt clutch kit does include the throwout bearing and pilot bearing

Would you have the need for a DS safetly loop? Being that the driveshaft is made out of CF? I ask this because I had a 'ACPT' Carbon Fiber drive shaft on my F-Bod.....it broke and just disintegrated. By the way my 'ACPT' drive shaft broke where the shaft meets the metal neck...not becuase I had too Much HP, but because ACPT is a piece of S@#t. I'm still fighting to get a replacement or money back...or at least a discount. @#$@# $700 DS.

Also, does the G35 have a CB driveshaft? I haven't got around to looking under there yet.

hey guys
my 350z ran 12.56 on 1320 feet
12.56 came out from my g-tec
hey guys check out this my 350z has a problem with Level 10
so i just dismantle on my AT trans. whene i look on my car
they have some cross bar right after trans its looks like DS Roof
is that cross bar will ok with NHRA???
and now i look for 5 Point Roll bar on my car
is any one know some one make bolt on type ?????

Stock rear ends are rated to the S-Tune spec of 305hp at the crank. Nismo diffs are nice if you are stepping up.

Quick answer to your NHRA regulation question is no, it wouldn't meet their guidelines. It has to go *around* the drive shaft in a loop.

Good news is that no one is checking much for this where I have went. Not once actually. Bust a 11 though and they may send you to be seriuosly teched ha-ha!

can someone explain cvtcs system to me, mostly when does it begin adjusting timing? how do you adjust it, can it be done manually or does it take a reflash? and can it be deactivated if i get a tt kit?

Default stock clutch - maximum power

What is the maximum power handling of the stock Z clutch?

I often see people saying you should upgrade your clutch when swapping out the flywheel, but I don't see why that is necessary if you don't plan on making big power upgrades such as forced induction. Sure, it will save you labor costs if you do them both simultaneously, but why spend the extra hundreds of dollars on a higher power clutch if you don't really need it?

Q: 1)what is LSD ?
2) what does it do?
3) do most of the car have it? or mostly performence car?
4) if the car doesn't have LSD, can i put one in?
5) is it nessasary ? (plz forgive my spelling...)
