Default sticky clutch pedal

what causes clutch padel to become soft and don't return all the way up, i got to tap it a few times to pop it back up and it only happens when the car is fully warmed up. could this be the clutch master cylinder problem? the car has 37,000 mi and 05 model.

Try flushing your clutch fluid completely. Sometimes water gets in the system and causes this.

i have the same problem especially on a hot day and using the clutch for awhile, flush out the clutch fluid and change it to stainless steel clutch line helps.

The clutch fluid line is too close to the exhaust manifold. Thats why the stock line has a heat shield. Driving long periods of time or stop and go traffic the fluid boils. Change to a steel braided line and use Motul RBF 660 fluid.

The problem may go away, but will be back. The sediment from the breaking down rubber line will get stuck in the master and slave, flushing does not get it out. You must remove the slave/master take it apart clean with a small brush and brake cleaner , reassemble and bleed. I had the same problem with my 05. Also while you have it apart, just rebuild the master and slave, the kits from Nissan are only $15 each.

This is actually really easy to do, the hardest part is bleeding the system when your done.

I'm agreeing with what everyone is saying. I've never had a problem with my fluid boiling though.

It's probably your master and/or slave clutch cylinder but if you do the rebuild kit you should be good to go. Make sure to do a good bleed.
