I just picked this trans up real cheap and have a couple questions. It has a cd09 sticker on it and the vin tag still attached. Both of them say it's from an 06 z. The case of the trans says cd#2. It looks damn near brand new. It even has the plastic cup piece from the factory covering the hole where axle goes Into. There are no scratches anywhere on it, I can move the linkage by hand and change gears. I was wondering when Nissan was taking back the crappy trans under warranty, if they may have reused the old casing or something.

 

It should have a white sticker on it that reads CD009. If it does, that is the one you want. '06 would be the right year as well.

Yeah it has that, I was just wondering about the casing that cd#2. if this is in fact the cd09, I basically stole this for the price I paid. Some guy left it in his shop and never picked it up. He called the dealer with the Vin # and found out I was a 06 350z trans. I only paid 250 for it cause we couldn't really tell how it is internally and was confused about the cd#2 on the side.

 

Reach under and see if it has duct tape...
