So basically what it came down to they made it a 1.5 way with some of the internals from the NISMO and with the gears so it still fells like a 1.5 that's why my car drifted so badass."

I have asked Dex to take the pumpkin back and return my money........ since this is obviously not what I was intended to buy.
What did he do? did he shim it?

Yea you can replace the stock shims in the VLSD so that it acts more like a 2 way...thats the only way i know of doing that...the 240 guys have been doing it for a while...

My point being that there is nothing out of the nismo LSD that you use to do what he claims to have done lol...you just have to buy a bigger size shim from nissan which is like 5 bucks or something lol

Adding a shim to the visous pack doesn't make it act like a 2-way. They put an extra shim in there to jam it up. Effectively, that makes it a spool. You might as well weld an open differential, because it would have the same effect.
The seller tried to **** you, is a thief, and committed larceny.

There is very little difference from a 2 way and a spool OR a welded dif for that matter, but what you said is what i was trying to say originally lol

There's a huge difference. A spool doesn't differentiate axles.

Nice scam. Rebuilt a stock vlsd with nismo internals? WTF are you talking about and how did the casing crack? I would do a charge back if you still can...

For 3.917 gears, the pinion would have 12 teeth and the ring gear would have 47. Usually OEM gears have this etched on the side of the ring gear; so it might have 47:12 stamped on it.

jiggy: no i met him up at SA and paid him cash...........

Lawn: I have since put the car back and test drove the car. the gear is legit.

Vo: I want to see a good outcome as well....

Besides the fact that the car feels more powerful due to higher rpm @speed, there's absolutely no difference between my oem and his "customized" vlsd, at least none I can tell..........

still patiently waiting for him to come back from his NYC trip.........
