So, I will start by saying that I came from the RX7 world and I am used to premixing my gas with 2cycle oil for my FC. I know it helps out for the apex seals in the Rotary Engine, but I was wondering if anyone has ever done it to their Z and what happened to the Engine. I just picked up my Z and of course I do not want to do anything stupid. Thanks.

I know what you mean about premixing your fuel when playing with rotary engines but Vq's do not require that (rotary/reciprocating engines, apples/oranges), even though some 350Z engines/years have oil consumption issues. I dunno if anyone has tried what you are asking though.. but I do think it would mess up the Vq.

I use to have an 85 GSL-SE Rx 7 back in the day, so I remember the days of always checking your oil level lol.

LOL! Awesome. Thanks. Yeah, I have made it a force of habit to check the oil levels and premix the gas at every fill up. Hope to see if anyone has or might be been planing on doing it. Again thanks for the info. And 1gen, nice. I have a 2nd gen vert.

When I got my 13b rebuilt with a street port I did this. After that, the new oil metering pump kept the engine fresh with oil.

I regret selling the 85 but life happens and I might get one some other time. Love vert FCs and they are pretty rare these days, even in SoCal.

No you don't have to do this.

Lol. Yeah verts are rare. Too many people such as myself almost had the car stolen. They cut the top and try to get in that way. Tops are stupid expensive for that car.

But my Fc still has the MOP working, I just use a smaller amount of premix for it.

As for the Z, I will just fill up with 91oct until I poke around more and see what I can learn. Thanks for the input guys( or gals if you answered my questions).
