Default eml on since fitting Berks HFC s

hi guys, looking for a little help.Since fitting a pair of Berks HFC s the other week i ve had the eml come on 3 times. After the third time and just before re setting i got the fault code of the ecu p1167 ie 02 sensor2 burnt.
Now not really sure why this is happening as when fitting the HFC s i opted for 02 sensor spacers.
Whilst reading the text for fault code p1167 it suggests running lean as well.
Anyone suffered the same and what did you do to rectify please.

The guys this side of the pond seem to believe it will not cause any damage as it will not reach dangerous levels of being to lean.
As you can imagine i am a little concerned

and would like another opion.

cheers

What year is your car? Also if im reading this right, that is a pre-cat code, spacers will not help.

if you are useing high flow cats then O2 spacers are not needed because the cat is still there
