Default Is it safe?

Ok, so i just bought a 03 touring 6spd shell. im currently in the middle of swapping my engine, trans, and ecm. My car that im pulling everything from is also a 03 touring. Since everything is out right now, im buying larger injectors and sending my vortech unit in for upgrades. Im getting a retune as soon as everything is back together. Im going from 600 injectors to 750's. Can i drive the car with out going into boost to the tuner if i change these out. I dont want to run the risk of messing something up, but i also dont want to pay for a tow bill if i dont have to. I already have to tow the car when everything is back in to nissan to have the keys/ecm programmed to drive the car. Then if possible i would like to be able to drive the car back home if its safe, if not, i will have another tow bill.

as long as your not going too far you should be fine, the jump isnt that big that you'll wash out your cylinders or anything, i did the same thing with my car a long time ago when i dropped in a set of 440's from the stock injectors.

What ems are you running? You could try to scale the injectors.

I drove my Z 2.5hrs to FP when I put the vortech on. Used a default 440cc injector map in the utec and just kept the rpms lower and the peddle pressure low and was good to go.

I kinda had same issue with I went with OEM injectors to my DW 600's... It'll turn off on deceleration and probably be a ***** to restart.

safest bet is to swap out once your at your shop as stated above. if your on a stock manifold, its a pain in the ***, but much better than any potential damage that might occur and its an hour of your time at best.

cux, im tuned on osirus still

taywan, i emailed them but they never responded, cin responded to my email and they want nearly as much as it cost me to get the osirus in the first place and get tuned.

i thought about changing them out there, but my engines out now and it would be so much easier to do now, im still stock mani

You should be fine driving with the bigger injectors to the tuner.I did it years ago when i installed the Greddy twins with larger injectors and i just made sure i didnt see any boost while driving there.

I thought I ask here, instead of making new forum.

I see an 06 vq35de short block (just block/crankshaft) for sale in my area. I have an 03 Z. I would like to buy and rebuild for Fi.

Are there any differences in blocks from year to year on the vq35de? I know in 06, nissan starting to do rev enhancements to make car rev higher, but the block stayed the same right?

just want to confirm.
