Just call the dealer and tell them you need to borow the crank holder tool and if they are cool then leave your ID and be done
If they are dicks you will neve rdo it on an A5T w/o that part
I wasn't worried about warranty, you may be so...

The engine crank spins clockwise as viewed from the front. The pulley nut is a standard thread, so it comes off counterclockwise.

So place the breaker bar/extension so that it touches the ground around 4:00. Does this make sense?

You can't accidently tighten it with this method, but I guess if you just left the breaker bar lying on the ground at around 7:00 by mistake it would fly up, through your hood, you'd say "WTF" get out of the car just as the breaker bar came down on your head. This is not the correct procedure.
