if anyone is still wondering, the car is a 05-07 rev up,
The clock being in the upper dash display area, the tach being on the left side( non rev ups have the rpm on the right) and revised centerconsol.

It was the 2nd gen sedans 07 and up, and the 08 up g37 that had the blue in the cluster.....

Anyways, Quick question, as for tune you mean tune for the bolt ons?

is the 450 tune mandatory? The car would be tuned locally, my tuner can disable the nats, as well as I have the tuner version uprev. Thanks!

Also very interested in the 37 upgrade

Provided everything bolts in and is plug-and-play, this is a highly attractive option for anyone looking for a new motor or to break 300 WHP NA.
Seriously. I know right? It'd be nice to have a 300 WHP naturally aspirated.
Definitely impressed with the possibilities of VQ37VHR swaps becoming a reality.

All 05-07 had the same gauges. Only differences were for AT/MT. AT had gear display where the MT had a rev light. Tach and speedo were in the same spot regardless of transmission.

He was pointing out that the gauges/interior in the vid are from an 05-07 G, not an 03-04 as the title seems to indicate. This is more than likely an 05 G, probably doesn't matter much though.

Like I said I was comparing the rev up to non rev up, not at vs mt.

I understood it as, You stating non revs have RPMs on the right, where 05-07 non revups (5AT) have RPMs on the left.

Not a big deal, Carry on.

Id much rather do this than a LS swap. This is 100% working and it doesn't cost 10k. The VHR is going in a lot of cars now and it will drive prices down for junkyard motors.

The Vq40 doesn't even need rewiring so that is another option.

Awesome job, did you get the nats to work? Wouldn't want someone just hot wiring my ride.

Hurry up and get this harness up and running. Make everything plug and play and just a simple weekend project. I need all this and at a discount in about 1yr to swap out the motor when I pay off the car. Please make it affordable and make it work. This is the last component the vehicle needs to complete it. A decent factory motor instead of this red headed step child bastard REV-up oil consuming ticking award winning 200k mile lifetime my *** MOTOR.

Like a wire job on a Z is going to be 7G, come one.

We have already mapped out what will be required to run the VQ37VHR engine also. If anyone has the desire to be truly "Baller"!
If we get all of the projects done I will get around to doing it myself on my 04 Z. But that is going to have to be on the back burner.
I just picked up an R33 Skyline as a DD....

I need you guys to figure out how to swap a VR38DETT in the Z. I'm ditching my LS plans and am considering sending my car to you guys for the VQ37VHR swap, but if a VR38DETT could be done I'm all in.

We can do this for you. I already have the bottom end from a VR38DETT in stock. We were able to buy it brand new from Nissan. We have already figured out that the VQ37VHR heads will bolt right on to that bottom end. Then we use the Greddy TT kit and install it.
After that we need to acquire the VQ37VHR harness and ECU, upper plenum, lower plenum, and throttle bodies, etc... We can wire it up and make all the factory gauges work.
I know this for a fact because I purchased the VQ38 block for my 04 350Z and am building it as we speak!

The VQ35DE non rev up only has variable intake timing and a single knock sensor. Does this swap include wiring for variable exhaust cam timing on the VQHR? How does it handle the twin knock sensors?

We have to use the VQ35HR harness and ECU along with the dual throttle bodies, all accessories, knock sensors, etc... from the OEM VQ35HR engine. We also need the dash harness connector from the dash that connects onto the ECU directly. Unlike the VQ35DE which uses a separate connector for EFI harness to dash, the VQ35HR dash connector snaps directly to the 3rd plug of the ECU itself.

so to do a swap.......you need engine and all accessories, harness, ecu, and dash harness. How will the car start? I thought the ECUs were coded with some vin number or code that will only work with the original car.

I think this is a good swap for people with high mileage engines that want some power without a new car note.

Oh my!! This is great news!! I will definitely send my car down to you guys for the swap! When will your build be done? This would be a new level of innovation for the Z platform. The engineering prowess that comes from Z fever is top notch!!
