Solid differential bushings are they ok?
Thats why i went Energy Suspension urethanes subframe mounts (much stiffer then whitelines) and SPL alumin diff mounts. Fixes all the problems, barely any noise.

Do whiteline do the sub frame mounts? more importantly, how involved is doing the subframe mounts? I'm guessing a bit of a ballache?
I'm thinking of going whiteline diff mounts.

Yes removing the oem mounts was a major PITA but worth it.
Softer than stock? See, i'd use stock if they were sold separately as i have no real problems with them.
Same for the diff bushing, but i think i'll need to go whiteline there as well.

Though I'm not 100% on this... I don't think you can. I sincerely doubt any Polyurethane bushing is softer than the OEM rubber ones.
My impressions of the different rubber subframe bushings:
OEM: Soft, smooth ride, does not translate alot of road noise but does not feel super solid around corners, son of a b#$%& to get out.
Whitelines: 3 Piece bushings, Never installed, when i inserted the metal sleeve into rubber bushings they were still very compliant by hand (sorry i don't have a durometer tester at home
), had elongated voids that would allow significant movement.
Energy Suspension: 3 Piece bushings, Solid urethane throughout, was very difficult to deform by hand without metal sleeve, with metal sleeve pretty much couldn't do anything by hand
I'll stop praising the ES bushings now

I wonder if you can fit the whitelines without the metal inserts? I would imagine that once inserted, the whitelines would stiffen up, either that or the set you had were out of compliance.
See i don't need anything harder than stock, but i know i'm screwed getting stock for the rear diff bush.

The differential went back in yesterday. The difference is astounding. The car feels alive again. It felt like it had double pneumonia and was mentally retarded.
The nvh I associated with the solid bushings is gone. Amazing what a properly set up ring and pinion will do.
I have 100 miles of break in to do and then an oil change at 1500 miles.
