350z gtr rb26dett n1
Kinda new to the tuning world. Used to be into way back but I just recently purchased a 05 350Z and now the fire has been reignited. I'm always aiming for the top and the only engine I could be happy with is a RB26DETT. I was searching for one but all I can find are old used ones. But I ran across this
Here are the specs:
Brand New Factory Nissan Engine Assembly (Long Block)
Specs
Displacement 2568cc
Bore x Stroke 86mm x 73.7mm
Compression: 8.5:1
Difference From Standard RB26
N1 Spec Strengthened Cylinder Block
Precision Balanced Connecting Rod
N1 Spec Pistons (Nür Spec Precision Balance)
N1 Spec Oil Pump
N1 Spec Water Pump
Nur Spec Color Scheme (Special Ed. Coloring)
The N1 Nür engine basically was designed to produce 450 horsepower and still had plenty of endurance to keep going; mostly because of its strengthened internals. The strengthened cylinder block, oil pump, water pump, and other components makes up a far superior unit than the normal RB26 unit.
It's a pricey unit but it's brand new. And since I want my RB to hit 1000hp, i know internal work will need to be done. With this unit, it's already done for me. So it's worth the price. Now my question is, what all do i need to make this engine complete and which brands who you recommend to assure the RB hits 1000hp. My goal is to get a boost control so i can set it from 400hp, 600hp and then final stage 1000hp
My only loss suffered was from light weight turbo plymouth laser. Never again.
Also, is it too difficult to convert the Z into an AWD? Or best to stick with a RWD?I know if I want an RWD, best best tranny would be a RB25 tranny.
Any help would be appreciated. Links to such products would also be greatly appreciated. I'm really looking to make this happen in a year or two. I'm Deployed to afghanistan so I'd like to order the parts so I can assemble everything together. Actual installation and tuning, I'll leave to the pros.
Here's a pic of my ride.
Thanks for taking the time to read and helping me out

I have 2 friends that are definitely down to help. One who does all his own work including boosting and tuning his Vette. The other is a graduate from UTI for Nissan and works for them now. His boss says we can use the shop on weekends and and some other guys are interested in helping as well. As for actual installation? I'm thinking UPREV in Austin Tx. They specify in 350Z's.

How so? I make 150k a year doing over seas contracting. RB's have been installed in Z's already. And RB's are notorious for hitting 1000+Hp. So please explain how this is gonna be a fail. Don't rush....I'll wait.

I'm assuming 20-25k. That block has all the internal work done already an runs 9k. It's N/A at 450hp. So I just need a turbo, fuel injectors, fuel rail, and intercooler. My problem is idk which brands or what's sizes to get. I hoping ya'll could help.

150k overseas!
seriously though I love my Z, but with more money I'd be kicking folks in the teeth with a GT-R...
A Z is gonna have problems every way holding/handling that power!

I intend on getting a GTR in a few years. But I'm on my first contract. A paid for house is my top priority. And I don't feel like being in Afghanistan for too long. So spending 20-30k on my car rather than 100k+ seems more logical at the time.
I heard this site was full of douche bags but wow. Serves me right or being optimistic. Not one person has been helpful. Just a bunch of crabs trying to pull every down to their low level.

Good looking Z!
150k doesn't go far in Austin, huh?
Seriously..... Like others have said, all the money and time in the world will prob not yield a reasonably dependable AWD 1000 whp Z. Many of us who have built our VQs wish we had gone another path. The gtr is so much better of a plan.

Relax bud. The "douche bags" are that way because they hear this type of thing almost daily, with less than a handful actually producing results. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum, show that you're actually taking steps to get this done and you'll probably get more help than you know what to do with.

search the board for the few rb swaps that have been done. its a lengthy swap, and i have yet to come across a complete build thread. id imagine it costing over 30k easy. the price of rb parts are a premium, and a rarity at that. hell guys are over 20k in an lsx swap, another option you should consider if you want to hit your numbers.

have you tried hybrid z dot org? That whole website is dedicated to swaps...
I would recommend going to a shop that has done the conversion before. Ive seen a few threads by zfever out of tampa, fl. where they do all types of conversions, I would ask them for advice. The vq35 is capable of making 1000hp but I if you would rather swap a rb, it's your car, good luck with your build if you go through with it.

I would love to see this project/ idea come to fruition. If it gets past the idea phase, I'll be your biggest e-supporter.
