Ok has anybody(with the exception of the guys that have been to the shop) Figured out what kind of power plant were using for this monster? Hint-the diehard Nissan guys probably arent going to like it, LOL.
I think I might have seen it there. Is it an ls7 or 9? Might not have been the engine for this project though....

Close but no cigar, Actually its a World Products LSX "Warhawk" 7.1L (427 cu in) with some really nice internals. The original plan was going to be a pair of percision turbos, but after looking at the amount of room in the engine compartment, we decided against that idea. So after some research we figured the best way to go was Pro Charger and a F-2 seem to be the best choise for this engine combination. So thats it a blown LSX with a T-56 Tranzilla transmission and a twin disc Tilton clutch.

We do computer mock ups on our engine builds and have had really good luck in coming within About 10% + or - of what the actual horsepower on the dyno. We actually have a Dyno jet AWD dyno in the shop, infact it is the only AWD dyno in the St Louis area, so needless to say we do a ton of Suby and Evo work. Both Jon and Nate are both very experienced tuners and we have a pretty good rep for getting a really good tune up for a reasonable price. Needless to say we do Uprev and are a licensed dealer.

Anyway we are looking at computer models of approx 1200 hp out of that motor at only 15 lbs of boost, and probably close to 1500 if we really put it on kill.

I dont have any pics yet of the completed motor, Since im going to be out of work for a while, I'll call Jon and ask him to e-mail some to me, along with all of the engine spec's, as thats his department.

Lots more to follow........................................

Sweet, good choice on the procharger. With that much power it will be easier to handle than the midrange tq spike of a turbo.

I'm excited to see this beast. I've seen this car as a shell for over a year now hoping to be around when it comes alive.

Thanks, we originally started this project with a 150K budget and its only gone over budget 50K, LOL, because of pieces like that, but your right so worth it!

It is much less expensive to cut up a 350z and there is a much larger and cheaper aftermarket out there

LOL, ok im sorry, but Im a Toyota guy and I dont know all the different classifications of the GTR, BUT the owner of the Zcar, had a 2010 GTR, that we modified with bigger turbos, actuators and aftermarket exhaust, that was putting down 600+ to the wheels, that he had well over 125K in before we finished it, he got bored with it and sold it. Ive got all kinds of crazy stories about that car, if anyone's interested. Heres a pic of it on our dyno!

That isn't the first time I have heard of people getting bored of the gtr, might be something to that...
