Default New Long Block Z Car Garage install

I'm about to buy a long block from IPP and I already have a JWT 530 TT kit. I'm looking at Z Car Garage in San Jose, CA to do the install/tuning. So, my question is: Has anyone here had any experience with them? Are they pretty good/bad?

never heard of them, but they appear to have been in business for 15 years.. that says far more than most shops can say in that regard.

I have not heard of them specifically...BUT

the fewer shops/retailers you have involved in your build the less finger pointing will take place.

I saved $250 buying a clutch kit from one vendor when my shop installed it the flywheel was incorrect. Cost me almost $1000 in labor to have them drop the tranny....send the flywheel to original shop then reinstall a diff one.

Just saying.

Actually, yes, I did buy the long block from IPP. I'm doing the removal/install with the help of a friend. I'll post some pics later. IPP said my motor wouldnt be ready until mid January because the machine shop they use is closed for the holidays.

Does your longblock come complete with new timing components and timing cover in place or is it just the longblock and you will have to move over all components and set timing.

Its just the long block. We'll have to move everything over when I get it.
