Default Engine Cutting Off

So this has been occurring more often lately. Most of the time it happens after I fill the car up with gas. After I put gas in then turn the car over the engine goes to about 3k RPMs then comes back down and shuts off. It is a 2008 HR with 88K miles.I have Injen CAI, Berk HFC's, XO2 Exhaust and Tuned to UpRev. A year or so ago I removed my HFC's and Exhaust but left the Injen CAI. Car hasn't been tuned to the new setup so not sure if that is why but wanted to get other opinions. Most of the time it only happens after I fill up, I recall it happening twice from just turning it on.

May be just a coincidence or,you are trying to determine the
cause of your car cutting off,so you think its happening when you fill up?
I'd see if a cam position sensor is going bad.It starts with
what you are experiencing every once and awhile. It will
get more frequent. No CEL.When one goes, you'll get a CEL
and your dash will light up with alerts on TCS etc.

Faulty CAM/Crank sensors does not always throw a code. Also could be oil contamination on the MAF sensor from the CAI

my car has been doing this too but it has nothing to do with when i put gas in my car.

so what do i just wait for it to go out if it is infact the cam postion sensor then replace it? i didnt get any check engine lights or anything either and my car seems a little down on power lately but i figured it was because of how dirty my filter is.

i will be cleaning maf and filter and see if it happens again

No CEL, will clean the MAF's and Filters then see what happens. Could it be the Tuned ECU catching up to over compensation for the lack of mods it was tuned on?
