Default Torq seting for the throttle body

I am replacing my plenum with a used Crawford Plenum. I stripped my stock one down, taking of the throttle body, when I tried to tork the bolts down on the throttle body the heads started to strip. According to the repair cd that I have it calls for setting of 64-85 ft lbs. Is this correct? The settings for all the outer edge bolts shows 56-73 ft. lbs. Are these the correct settings?

Also I had some trouble getting the 3 top bolts to line up. Has anyone else had this problem installing a used plenum?

Thanks for your help.

That's the right torque setting. I've never had trouble lining the bolts up though, or a problem with them stripping.

Remember you're working with aluminum.

The shop manual indicates the torque for the collector (plenum) bolts is 9-10 ft-lbs (108-120 in-lbs) and 64 to 85 IN-LBS (5.3 to 7 ft-lbs) for the throttle body.
