Engine build problems!
Was wondering if anyone has any input on this. I had my '03 motor rebuilt due to bad rings at a performance shop. I put Arias 9:0 pistons with eagle rods and arp bolts, cometic gasket etc... after 1000miles the motor was badly smoking so they opened it up to find the cylinder walls egg shaped. Thinking it was the machine shop they brought it to a different one. Once again after about 1000miles its back to smoking again!! They think its a bad block (soft walls or something) or could it be the pistons (they have a very short skirt on them).

Ya same here I've never heard of walls being soft. I'm leaning towards the pistons. But I know either way he's using a different block so I think I should swap the pistons too although they're pretty much brand new
