New clutch issues
I recently had my 2008 350Z 6mt transmission replaced with a new re manufactured from Nissan. The Nissan dealership called and suggested I replace the clutch due to the wear on my current stock clutch. Based on the price of the OEM Nissan clutch, I went with the competition clutch stage 1 with it being a third of the price.
I picked the car up this evening and was excited from not having a vehicle for going on two weeks. When I arrived, the service guy informed me the balance point was much lower than what I was used to and that it may take some time getting used to and said I should allow a 500 mile break in period. In my head, I am thinking, sure no problem.
I immediately felt discourse from the second I attempted to back up. The car shook violently as if if I were on the verge of killing it. (I will give a disclaimer that I'm not a professional drag racer, but do have three years experience driving a standard so I am familiar.) As I began to drive in first gear, the same thing happened. However, this time I smelled the clutch burn a little. I have driven around town all evening trying to get used to and I just can't seem to. I feel like I'm learning to drive a standard again, all the while smelling my brand new clutch burn. It doesn't help that I just spent $2700 on a new tranny, clutch and install. I don't want to blow up the new transmission.
Is there a way the balance point can be adjusted so I can go back to driving the car the way I was used to? I don't want to sound like a moron calling the dealership in the morning telling them they need to adjust my clutch if that isn't something that can be done.
Any help/input will be appreciated.

the extra grabbiness of a of a comp clutch will do that, it will take some getting used to. RJM ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH PEDAL BRACKET, can change how it engages, and make a big difference. i have one myself, after installing and finding the right adjustment point, the clutch is much easier on take off in first.
I hope you put in a replacement upgraded CSC and Willwood master...and when driving on a fresh clutch, the catch point should start low and get higher as you break it in,mine took about 50 miles before the catch point was back to factory level.
You should have searched here a bit more before letting the dealer replace the clutch.
